Las Médulas, Spain

I had an incredible experience seeing Las Médulas. The juxtaposition of the orange colors in nature against the purple sky must have been a breathtaking sight.

Las Médulas is a fascinating historical site with its’ origins dating back to the Roman Empire. The fact that it was a hydraulic mine and that the aqueducts are still preserved makes it even more impressive. It’s been designated as a UNESCO site.

It was a unique experience to see the beauty and history of Las Médulas. The orange and purple incorporated into the painting work are the colors of roman royalty.
